As the International Day of Women and Girls in Science is approaching, ELIXIR Members are preparing a campaign about inspirational women in science.

We are looking for:

  • Success stories that have improved gender equality in your Node.
  • Stories of forgotten women who revolutionised the field of bioinformatics and computational biology.
  • Inspirational women and men in ELIXIR.

Can you help us generate impact and celebrate the achievements? Nominate colleagues that inspired you and strived for gender equality. Tell us who was a role model that motivated you in your career.

Webinar The importance of (open) infrastructures in responding to a pandemic

The webinar will take place online on Wednesday, 27 January 2021, 17:00 – 18.00 CET. The webinar is the second session of the Galaxy-ELIXIR COVID-19 Webinar series. It will present data resources used to deposit and access SARS-CoV-2 data. You will also discuss the importance of open access data to efficiently respond to epidemic outbreaks.
