Open Application to Virtual ELIXIR All Hands Meeting 8-11 June 2020

ELIXIR organizes All Hands Meeting (AHM) every year, where ELIXIR employees from all nodes meet. For this year, the meeting was scheduled in Amsterdam as a live event, but we had to change plans due to COVID-19. AHM will thus take place virtually this year. ELIXIR Slovenia organizes a series of webinars

A series of six online seminars “Virtual Spring Seminar Series 2020” will be organized by ELIXIR-SI between April 29 and May 27.

The seminars will discuss the achievements of systems medicine, which enable the translation of scientific advances into clinical practice and personalization of medicine. The webinars will be hosted by prof. dr. Damjana Rozman (University of Ljubljana, Faculty of Medicine), lecturers will be systemic medicine experts from Great Britain, Spain, the Netherlands and Belgium. More

Work from home at ELIXIR Hub

The central node ELIXIR, ELIXIR Hub, has introduced work from home from 16 March 2020 onwards. ELIXIR Hub staff will no longer answer calls to landlines, but will still be available via email. All events planned by ELIXIR Hub for the period from March to the end of May have been postponed.

ELIXIR joins efforts to curb the COVID-19 pandemic

ELIXIR has set up a website dedicated to COVID-19 research. The page, which is constantly updated, lists all the services that ELIXIR offers to COVID-19 researchers. They also opened a Slack workspace to exchange views on COVID-19, which can be joined by all researchers in the field. More…

ELIXIR Converge Kick-off Meeting

On 25th February 2020 an introductory meeting of the ELIXIR CONVERGE project for standardization of data management was held in Brusels.The meeting was also attended by representatives of ELIXIR Slovenia. The head of our node dr. Brane Leskošek will lead a task for the preparation of educational events on data management.

ELIXIR CONVERGE – a new project for data management optimization

ELIXIR CONVERGE is a project to standardize data management in the field of life sciences. The project is co-financed by the European Commission and is worth 5 million euros and will last for three years (2020-23). As part of the project, we will develop a collection of data management tools in the field of life sciences. The toolkit will allow scientists to access data in the public domain. More …
